My Bois Brule - Studies, Stories and Song
Presented by Dr. Arne Salli UW-Professor Emeritus
Join Arne for this entertaining and educational presentation by a man who spent a lifetime doing cold water fisheries studies on the Bois Brule. From 1960 until his retirement two years ago Arne prowled the Brule studying "young of the year" trout. An expert on stream ecology and the legends of that most famous of Wisconsin trout rivers Arne will fill the evening with stories and possibly a song or two.
You may remember Arne's appearance on Michael Feldman's PBS radio program "What D'ya Know?" He wowed the crowd with a lurid tale of mating rainbow trout and a song he wrote about the river he loves. Arne and his wife Nancy even honeymooned in the Stewart's guide shack that became his home away from home for over 45 years.
Don't miss this one!
Thanks Everyone!

Fly Fishing for Trout on Wisconsin's Stillwater
Presented by Jon Kort
Here is what Jon's friends have to say about him:
"Jon is a "Human Loon on a Toon. (The bird and inflatable pontoon I mean.) I have had the opportunity to watch him in action on a couple of spring ponds and he is by far one of the most knowledgeable stillwater fishermen I have seen. If you want to learn how to fish these little Northern Wisconsin gems, feed him a little Sprugeon Wine around a campfire with friends and keep your mouth shut and listen."
"masterful sage of the spring ponds and spirits."
"It still amazes me that one small wheelchair can hold a trainload of wisdom, courage and heart."
"darn finest Kentuck I've ever runned into on a trout stream…"
"Noted angler, fly tyer, font of spring pond knowledge, and possessor of extraordinary good humor and patience."
"Best source for Wisconsin spring pond info in the state. Period!"
"This presentation is a must see."
