We are
Wisconsin River Valley
Trout Unlimited

Laurenactive in conservation and education.

The purpose of this chapter is to preserve and protect trout as a game fish; to conserve, protect and restore the trout fisheries in the counties of Lincoln, Marathon, Price and Taylor counties in Wisconsin. We exist to educate the public and to advocate for the practical and scientific management of the watersheds. We do this in cooperation with other like-minded conservation organizations and government agencies to increase and restore trout populations. Our purpose is to educate the public, especially youth in the value of conserving our cold water resources.

We do this by working together; enjoying the fruits of our labors in quality trout waters and in the inherently beautiful places that trout inhabit.

Here are just some of the things the Wisconsin River Valley Chapter is involved in:

  • Stream improvement projects
  • Fly casting and tying instruction
  • Women in the Outdoors, Marshfield and Wausau
  • DNR sponsored Youth Sporting Heritage Day, Wausau School Forest
  • Wausau East and Edgar High Schools two day stream study program on the Plover River
  • Annual fund raising banquet
  • Educational presentations for the community
  • Trout in the Classroom for Edgar Middle School
  • For a more detailed understanding of the chapter's role and function feel free to inspect  our constitutional bylaws.
